Vous avez peut-être remarqué que dernièrement je fais beaucoup de posts d'inspiration. Ce blog est né il y a bientôt 3 ans comme cahier d'inspiration, pour avoir un endroit où garder tout ce que j'aime. Avec le temps il a évolué et grandi, mais en ce moment le besoin d'inspiration est encore plus grand. On va bientôt déménager, mais avant cela, il faudra faire des gros travaux de rénovation dans notre nouvel appartement. Et c'est bien pour cela que toutes ces inspirations vont m'aider.
You might have noticed that lately I've been writing several inspirational posts. I started this blog almost three years ago as an inspiration book, where I could file all the things I love. As time went by, it grew and changed, but these days I need inspiration more than ever. We are going to move soon, but, before then, we'll have to go through huge renovation works in our future apartment. And that's exactly why I'll need all the inspirations I'm posting over here.
Partons du début. Le sol. L'appartement, qui n'a pas bougé depuis 1970, a un beau (mais très abimé) parquet en bâtons rompus. Après un premier moment d'inspiration très contemporaine ("on couvre tout avec une résine"), une petite voix intérieur a eu le dessus et on a décidé de garder le sol d'origine, le poncer et l'éclaircir. Dans nos anciens appartements, on a toujours eu du parquet. J'aime le toucher du bois sous les pieds nus, j'aime sa texture et ces jolis dessins au sol qui se répètent à l'infini. Et cette fois-ci on l'aura bien plus clair qu'à l'origine pour apporter le plus de lumière possible ♡
Let's start from the beginning. The floor. The apartment is still a sort of vintage 70s' interior, but with a beautiful herringbone floor (in pretty bad condition though). At first we decided for a very contemporary attitude ("let's cover it all with a resin"), but then my inner voice suggested to keep it, sand it and fade it. We've always had wooden floors in our previous apartments. I like the texture of wood under the bare foot and I love to see the shapes it draws on the floor. And this time we'll have it lighter than the original one to make the rooms even brighter ♡
