Originaire d'Afrique de l'Ouest, ce type de figuier pousse dans la forêt tropicale et se développe souvent comme un epiphyte, s'accrochant à un autre arbre et puisant ses ressources par l'air et la pluie avant de mettre ses racines au sol. En intérieur il ne produit pas de fruits et ses dimensions restent limitées, tout en étant plus imposant que d'autres plantes d'intérieur.
Native of Western Africa, this type of ficus grows in a rainforest environment. It usually starts growing as an epiphyte or air plant, growing upon another tree and deriving its moisture and nutrients from the air and rain before putting its roots in the ground. In interiors it doesn't grow fruits and it stays considerably shorter, but it is still among the biggest houseplants.
Quelques instructions d'entretien?
1. placez-la dans un endroit lumineux, à la température constante et soleil indirect;
2. arrosez-la uniquement quand le sol est complètement sec;
3. utilisez un brumisateur sur les feuilles;
4. dépoussiérez les feuilles avec une éponge humide pour enlever la poussière.
Some care instructions?
1. Choose a location with bright, indirect sunlight and constant temperature ;
2. Water only when soil is dry to the touch ;
3. Mist the foliage occasionally ;
4. Use a damp sponge or paper towel to wipe any accumulated dust on a regular basis.
Et qu'est-ce qu'on fait si on n'a pas la main verte? Encore une fois, à défaut d'avoir la vraie plante, optez pour des illustrations. Elles habilleront vos murs tout en ajoutant la touche verte nécessaire à faire rentrer un peu nature chez vous!
